A van was left on its side after crashing into a bridge at Leeds this morning.

Police were called at 5.10am to a report that a van had struck a bridge in Lower Street.

Officers attended the scene and the road was closed while arrangements were made to recover the vehicle.

No injuries were reported and Highways teams remain at the scene removing debris on the carriageway.
