Hackers target UK in huge cyber attack ‘in response to airstrikes in Yemen’
HACKERS say they launched a massive cyber attack against the UK in response to airstrikes in Yemen.
Anonymous Sudan said Friday’s raid on an internet company was also because Britain had shown “support” for Israel.

In a statement on messaging platform Telegram, the group warned: “Big attack on UK soon, in response to the air attacks in Yemen and unconditional support of the genocidal Zionist regime in Israel.”
Less than an hour later they claimed to have attacked the London Internet Exchange (LINX).
The firm, which has offices in London and Peterborough, is one of the world’s largest internet exchange points.
It works by enhancing the speed and reliability of internet providers and allowing direct interconnection between different networks.

Anonymous Sudan said their attack hit LINX’s routing infrastructure which they allege rendered some services “unreachable”.
The Sun has approached LINX for comment.
Anonymous Sudan – a group of grassroots hacktivists – claim to target countries and organisations engaging in “anti-Muslim activity”.
Their attack came as the US and UK conducted airstrikes against Houthi military targets in nearly 30 locations across the country on Thursday.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak gave the green light for military action at an Emergency Cabinet meeting on Thursday evening.
More than 150 precision-guided munitions, launched by fighter jets and warships, saw 60 military targets including an airbase, airport and army camp being blitzed and five militants killed.
US officials said they fired over 80 Tomahawk cruise missiles from three destroyers and a submarine while 22 jets took part from aircraft carrier USS Eisenhower.
In April 2023, Anonymous Sudan attacked websites linked to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Mossad, Jewish State’s intelligence agency.
The Africa-based cyber highwaymen are also alleged to collaborated with pro-Russian attack groups like Killnet.
In June 2023 the groups threatened to attack critical banking infrastructure in light of the war in Ukraine.
The Sudanese group have no links to the infamous Guy Fawkes mask-wearers Anonymous.
