The teenagers who are from the Sittingbourne and Canterbury areas appeared before District Judge Justin Barron who decided to send their cases to Maidstone Crown Court to be dealt with because the allegations are so serious and one of the teenagers will turn 18 soon.

The pair are alleged to have raped a woman in her late 20s and they will next appear at the crown court in July.

Both teenagers were granted conditional bail until then.
