PEOPLE were left stunned when it was revealed that cooking potatoes in milk helped make the perfect mash.

But now there’s another spud hack that’s breaking the Internet – and it means you’ll never have to use a peeler again.

Katee took to her Instagram to share the clever trick, revealing she’d first seen it on mum-of-three Lora’s page.

“Did you know this? I was amazed,” Katee said.

“You do not need to peel your potatoes next time you want to mash them.”

She showed herself simply cutting the potatoes – with the peel still on – into halves, before boiling as normal.

Once they were cooked, she took a metal cooling rack, and started pushing the potatoes through, with a bowl underneath.

Doing so meant that the insides of the potatoes dropped easily into the bowl, while the skin was left on the top.

Katee was then able to just throw the skins away – and her potatoes were pretty much already mashed for her.

People were quick to comment on the Reel, with one writing: “I saw that somewhere else and wondered … it actually works!”

“NO I DID NOT KNOW THIS,” another marvelled.

“This will save me so much time!”

“I just saw this. Can we say mind blown?!” a third raved.

“That is a great hack!” someone else wrote.

To which Katee replied: “Thanks! I’m not sure I’ll ever peel potatoes again!”

“What?!? This is amazing!” another praised.

As Katee said: “It was fun to try and I couldn’t believe how easy it was!!”

“Saved because I’ll definitely be using this tip for making my mashed potatoes,” someone else said.

As another wrote: “What a GENIUS hack!”

“Soooo much easier than peeling!” Katee responded.

Someone else even pointed out that you could “put a little butter on” the skins and pop them in the over to make crispy potato skins.

But not everyone was convinced by the hack.

“I’d rather peel them than have to wash a cooling rack,” one grumbled.

“Ridiculous,” another agreed.

“Peeler is smaller & easier to wash. Learn to really cook!”

As a third called it a “hot mess”, adding: “Just peel!”
