The A12 is currently shut heading towards London following a major crash near the Boreham Interchange this evening (Tuesday, May 31). Eyewitnesses say multiple ambulances are at the scene.

Traffic is currently building on the Londonbound carriageway in the lead up to the accident. Essex County Council has indicated that five vehicles were involved in the collision.

Essex Travel News, run by Essex County Council, tweeted: “A12 Londonbound – ALL TRAFFIC BEING HELD between J20 (Hatfield Peverel/B1137) and J19 (Boreham/A138) following an accident involving five vehicles. Long Delays.”
