He said: “She’s a huge fan so it’s part of our daily routine together.”

The couple got engaged on Valentines Day earlier this year.

The ex-BGT contestant claimed he has always enjoyed the show as he added: “I’ve watched it ever since I can remember with my family, to be honest it was the only show I ever really watched when I was younger.

“I think it was the show that made me want to do drama at school when I was younger too.”

Last night’s episode showed that the newcomer’s dad is happy to see him in Walford, but his sister, Dana, isn’t quite as pleased.

Speaking about the character he is playing, Charlie said: “He likes to splash the cash.”
