Two more Israeli hostages were freed from Gaza this afternoon – with more set to be released by Hamas later in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.

But the fragility of the extended truce is clear –  just hours earlier, two Hamas gunmen killed three Israelis and injured 13 others when they opened fire on people waiting at a bus stop in Jerusalem.

And Israel has warned it will defeat Hamas “no matter how long it takes”.
