M2 partially blocked after car and bike crash between junctions 6 and 5

Queues are forming on a motorway after a motorbike and car collide.

The crash has partially blocked the M2 between J6 A251 Ashford Road (Faversham) to J5 A249 (Sittingbourne / Stockbury Roundabout).

Taking place at about 6.20pm, the incident is currently blocking lane one of two.

The jam is likely to be made worse by the high volume of Bank Holiday traffic being experienced on Kent’s roads.

It is not known when the road will fully reopen, but police have been contacted for more information.
