A crash in heavy traffic has triggered long waits on a motorway while emergency services work at the scene.

The westbound carriageway of the M2 is closed between junction 3 for Maidstone and junction 2 for Rochester due to the incident.

Police and ambulance crews are currently at the scene, while drivers in two miles of congestion have been told to expect waits of more than 20 minutes.
