The weather can’t seem to make up its mind at the moment and one minute the nation is plugging in fans and the next they are reaching for their brollies.

Not only does the summer battle between the rain and the sun make it tricky planning days out, but it is also causing trouble in the fashion department – Do you pick something that will keep you cool, or will you need an outfit that is water-resistant? Your guess is as good as ours!

Whatever the weather, Marks and Spencer has got your back and unveiled a beautiful v-neck summer dress that can be layered up no matter the forecast.

Taking to Instagram, M&S said: “The perfect transitional piece for the changing weather. @marksandspencer_sam looking bold and beautiful.”

At first, fans couldn’t get enough of the dress, calling it “beautiful” and saying that they planned on adding it to their wardrobe.

However several Instagrammers noticed one thing about the garment and once it was mentioned there was no going back.

It all started when one fan asked: “Does this dress come in petite? Thank you?”

The remark got other shoppers researching the midi and they weren’t very impressed with the answer.

“Unsurprisingly no Petite sizes ….Again,” said one before inserting an angry face emoji.

Another said: “Would be lovely if you could show some petite dresses…although you may have difficulty finding any.

“There is a lot of demand out there.”

The Printed V-Neck Shirred Midi Waisted Dress is available in sizes 6 to 24 in a regular or long length, although some sizes are already sold out.
