Mose Masoe looks to the future as Hull KR left heartbroken in Perpignan

News Hour

Mose Masoe has sent a message of support to his former club Hull KR after their loss to Catalans Dragons in the Super League play-off semi-finals.

The Robins were beaten 28-10 at the Stade Gilbert Brutus as Steve McNamara’s side advanced to next week’s Grand Final at Old Trafford.

KR were gutsy and determined on the night and got over the line through Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Ryan Hall.

Ultimately, though, they were second best as the League Leaders’ Shield winners saw them off through tries from Ben Garcia, Josh Drinkwater, Fouad Yaha, Arthur Mourgue and Joe Chan.

It means KR’s season comes to an end in heartbreaking fashion, but Masoe was quick to take to social media to commiserate his old teammates and point to the future.

“I’m bloody gutted for my brothers but extremely proud of what they have achieved this season,” he tweeted.

“Future looks bright.

“All us Hull KR supporters can stand tall with pride.

“2022 look out.”

Masoe will be moving back to Australia in the coming months and to send him off the Mose Masoe Foundation will be holding special farewell dinner in Hull on Saturday October, 30. Details of that can be found here.
