A police Station in Redcar has had the words Shoot Police Dead written across the front of the entrance.

As officers from across the Cleveland Police area and across the whole of the UK were out doing some incredible policing last night.

Working tirelessly to keep the people safe and responding to hundreds of thousands of 999 calls. Leaving their own families to protect us.

Someone mindless idiot marked the words shoot police dead across the front of a police station in a clear warning to officers.

Cleveland Police has now vowed to catch those responsible for this. Something that will play on the mind of police officers working within this station causing them fear and distress.

Steve Turner the local PCC for the force said “What if this is a disturbed individual who genuinely believes we should “shoot police dead”

“What if they already have a gun in their possession?

“What if tomorrow morning were mourning the tragic loss of a young Police officer?

“Officers will be taking every step today to identify the culprit and I’d hope the Redcar public will help if they can.

“Not because it’s Graffiti, but because it could be something more”
