It is a feature-length documentary at 1 hour and 30 minutes long.
As well as delving into Joe Exotic’s background, the famed documentary-maker meets Carole Baskin.
Louis posted a picture of himself with Carole Baskin and her husband Howard on his Instagram page.

He captioned the post: “Slowly ramping up publicity for new #bbctwo doc #ShootingJoeExotic.
“This is me and Howard and Carole Baskin who I spoke to for the programme, hanging at their sanctuary Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Fla.”
What is it about?
Joe Exotic, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, is currently behind bars after having been found guilty of a murder-for-hire plot relating to Carole Baskin.
Exotic first featured in Theroux’s 2011 documentary America’s Most Dangerous Pets.
After his appearance on Louis’ documentary, the eccentric wild-cat breeder shot to worldwide fame in Netflix’s docuseries Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness.
Theroux’s upcoming documentary is a continuation of his original 2011 documentary.
When the documentary was first announced, Theroux said: “I spent eight or nine days filming at the park back in 2011, over the course of three separate visits.
“I’d forgotten how much we shot until I went back into the footage during lockdown. It’s extraordinary how much was there.
“Since then the story just got stranger and bigger, and in going back at the end of last year I uncovered a real-life drama that took me in directions I never could have expected.”
