1st Year anniversary – Tiptoe Hunter.

Jay leigh, hunter supreme! Part of the core of STOP, an important member to the team and a diamond of a person. Kind, warm hearted and a very keen eye. Jay messaged the page just after Christmas about a security role and we took her on board, very quiet at first but then soon managed to find her place within the group. On her first sting she jumped straight in with asking the predator questions, and I knew straight away her calling was to be a hunter. She is straight talking and doesn’t take any crap from any sexual predators. Jay is very much loved within the group, shes everyones sister and is a massive support when things are down, always puts others before herself.

Jay Leighs Story

I become obsessed with watching STOPS’s stings, I found myself sitting every evening searching and watching the work that they did. I was blown away by them. I HAD to be apart of it.

So on the 9th January 2019, at exactly 2.28pm I sent the page a message. If I’m honestly i really didn’t expect a reply but within a couple of hours I had a reply 😊

Dean offered me the opportunity to become part of the security team and I was soooo happy, didn’t realise I’d quickly become a hunter.

It took me a few weeks to actually build the courage up and attend a sting due to my anxieties. The first sting I did I was greeted by the group and within minutes I felt like I was home. I instantly knew that some of these people i would grow to love and care about.

I was hooked, it pulled me in and made me fall in love with the work that was being done. The dedication, the work, the team.

I found myself getting into a rut, sitting at home, letting my mood stoop lower and lower. But being apart of this family gave me that drive to pull my socks up and help make this world a safer place for our children.

The team..

firstly, Dean. I have NEVER met a man like you, you are loyal to the core, you’re honest and you’re an inspiration. You quickly became like a father figure to me. You’ve helped me and been there for me when iv needed someone, and it’s all done so selflessly. You never ask for anything in return. I’ll ALWAYS be grateful for all you have done for me, and the team. Your one in a million. And I can’t leave out our road trips, singing at the top of our lungs to backstreet boys, and laughing the whole time. Your someone who I know will be in my life forever.

Gavin, haha well if I’m completely honest after the first sting I didn’t think we would get on. How wrong was i.. once you came back to the team we hit it off straight away, we have the same stupid sense of humour, we laugh at the most ridiculous things and being around you is such a pleasure. Your a friend for life you Norman haha

Donna, our ray of light who keeps this team together, the endless work you do behind the scenes is incredible. Your dedication to this family is second to none and without you around it wouldn’t be the same. I was a little bit scared of you at first haha, but quickly realised that you have the biggest heart, and your the funniest woman I know. You’re heart is pure and your support to me is incredible. Again, your stuck with me forever now 😊

So my story is one that will continue for a long long time, and it’s something that can’t really be put into words. I’m so grateful for the opportunity, for the love, and the support from you all. And I know in my heart that this team will continue to grow and become even more amazing than what it already is.

Now let’s stop being soppy and stop these monsters from abusing our children 😊
