A road has been closed since the early hours after a serious crash.

The B2056 Hamilton Road in Walmer, near Deal, was cordoned off following the collision at about 2.30am.

The accident happened under the railway bridge near Deal Parochial Primary School.

The road is shut in both directions between Telegraph Road and Gladstone Road to allow accident investigation work to be carried out.

The extent of any injuries is not yet known.

Police have been contacted for more information.
