Police are dealing with an ongoing security incident involving a small number of stowaways aboard an oil tanker off the Isle of Wight

The incident is believed to involve half a dozen stowaways who were discovered on the tanker.

A number of crew members are believed to be sheltering across the ship for their own safety.

The Nave Andromeda was due to dock in Southampton earlier today.

A restriction zone of five nautical miles in now in place around the vessel.
